Your Invisalign Patient Journey, Step by Step
From your first scan to your final retainer — exactly what happens, and roughly when.
Digital consultation & 3D scan — First appointment
A thorough clinical assessment plus a fast 3D digital scan — no messy impression trays needed. You'll see a 3D preview of your predicted straight smile before treatment even begins.
Bespoke plan & aligner fitting — 2–3 weeks later
Once your custom aligners arrive from the lab, you'll return for your fitting. Small, tooth-coloured attachments may be added to specific teeth for precise leverage, and you'll leave with your first sets of aligners and full care instructions.
Progress check-ups — Every 6–8 weeks
You'll change to a fresh set of aligners every 7 to 14 days at home, with a brief in-practice check every 6 to 8 weeks to confirm your teeth are tracking exactly to plan.
Refinement & final polish — Final aligner set
Once your main course of aligners is complete, your dentist reviews the result. If any micro-adjustments are needed, a short set of refinement aligners is ordered to perfect it.
Retainers & smile preservation — Post-treatment care
Custom retainers are fitted to hold your new smile in place, with professional teeth whitening available to complete the transformation.
